The festive table delights not only the taste, but also pleases the eye. This year we decided to share with you a few secrets on how to create aesthetically perfect snack dishes, spending very little time serving them. All you need to do is take the no-cook gourmet and simplest products from our stores, learn a few key serving principles, and apply them to let your imagination create a culinary miracle! It’s great if your cupboard has wooden or marble boards, on which snacks will look especially stylish and spectacular. If they are not available, choose beautiful plates for serving, plates of non-standard shapes and colors will look especially good: for example, long rectangular or oval, black, olive, light green, scarlet, gray.
Meat deli fee Which products are suitable?
When buying meat products for your meat board, think about the contrast! In order for your dish to cause a “wow effect”; it should consist of meat products that contrast in color and texture.
For example, take as a basis our turkey Pastrami «Parpar» or “Barbecue” for 4.40 sh/100 g. – it will become the background for brighter or darker in color and grainy sausages. Even if you take only one or two types of sausages and/or smoked meats, but contrasting ones, your meat platter will turn out to be appetizing and attractive. Next to the “Doctor” salami would look great. For example, Salami “Ukrainian” at a discount for 7.90 sh/100 g or our new Salami “Beef” for 6.90 sh/100 g. mini for 27.90 sh/280 g. And, without any doubt, such favorite meat delicacies as prosciutto, basturma, salmon, pastrami will especially decorate your dish. Pay attention to the Balyk “Darnitsky”, which has already fallen in love with many of our customers, which can be purchased at a discount for the holiday for 13.90 sh/100 g.
Thin or mini-sausages look great on a meat plate, for example, our raw smoked sausages “To beer” for 8.90 sh/100 g.
How to cut?
Pastrami, salami, cervelat, prosciutto, balyk or basturma should be cut as thinly as possible! When you buy meat products from us, there will be no problems with it – any of our products upon purchase will be cut according to your desire on special equipment.
Coarsely ground homemade sausages are cut into plump circles.
Thin raw smoked sausages can be cut in half, but it is fashionable not to cut it, depending on the size of the dish on which you lay out your composition. By the way, they can also be placed vertically in a beautiful cup.
How to lay them out?
Take a piece of thinly cut pastrami by the edge. Dip the opposite end onto a serving board or plate. And start folding it in waves or in the shape of a flower (rose), gradually adding more pieces to create a picturesque drapery. It looks very nice if pastrama or prosciutto is wrapped around asparagus like a ribbon.
Also take a thin circle of boiled sausage or ham by the edge, put less than half of the circle on the board and cover with the remaining half on top. On the resulting semicircle from the folded piece, lay out one more, and one more, so that the wavy folds repeat each other in parallel. Mugs of salami or servelat can simply be laid out on top of each other, or you can roll the slices into cute “bags” inside which you can put greens or chopped olives. In order for such a “bag” it was easier to roll, the sausage should be cut at an acute angle, so that you get not circles, but ovals.
What to decorate with?
Here you have just dozens of options. Any nuts, dried fruits, some fruits, fresh vegetables, canned vegetables, herbs, spices, seeds, sprouts, jams, honey, balsamic vinegar & hellip; The list goes on and on.
Be sure to use small marmitas, gravy bowls and creamers if you have them – glass, wood, metal, ceramic – the more interesting and unusual the texture, the better! Put olives or capers, onion jam or honey, mustard or candied fruit in them.
Meat plates decorated with berries and fruits look gorgeous: blueberries, melons, figs, strawberries. When decorating the board with fruits, vegetables, pickles, think about giving a bright color accent. But in moderation. The main secret of a truly chic cold cut is in the variety of decorations used and, at the same time, in their moderate use. That is, use nuts, and jam/honey, and berries, and pickles, but put a little bit of everything!
Salmon appetizers
Smoked salmon is good not only because without it any festive table is empty.
But also the fact that this is a rather plastic material, from which you can quickly and easily build a beautiful and delicious snack.
Don’t miss our super-discount, which will be valid only from April 5 to April 9: Atlantic salmon fillet sliced, freshly frozen 45.90 sh/2 packs of 200 g*! This promotion – a great opportunity to prepare a luxurious Philadelphia Roll on the festive table; without rice. Moreover, unlike the real Philadelphia roll, it cooks in just a couple of minutes.
Cut the fillet into strips of a width convenient for you. Put a teaspoon on a part of the strip, stepping back a centimeter – one and a half from its end, soft Philadelphia cream cheese and wrap the roll.
Top the cream cheese with a small amount of Red caviar bought at Mania for 59.90 sh/140 g.
Cheese plate When serving a beautiful and exquisite cheese plate, the same principle prevails as when serving a meat plate: more variety – textures, colors, tastes.
If you want to really surprise your guests and loved ones, then use the kind of cheese that they probably haven’t tried yet. We recently have a rare and unusual Ciresa Scamorza cheese. Its name translates rather intimidatingly:
Scamorza is Italian for “severed head”. It was named so because of the unusual cooking technology. Tender young balls of cheese are tied with a rope, but not in the middle, but in such a way that a figure of a man, a torso and a head is obtained. Then these cheeses are hung on ropes so that the liquid flows down, and the cheese ripens in a special way. The result is a medium-soft cream cheese with a pronounced and rather unusual taste. Those who have tasted it say that it is impossible to stop, it is so delicious! From 5 to 9 April you can try Ciresa Scamorza cheese at a special price – for 19.90 sh/250 g*.
In general, a cheese plate can consist of any cheese. But there are universally recognized “stars” among cheeses, overshadowing their counterparts more familiar to our eyes and tongues with their spectacular appearance and, of course, their special taste. Combining literally a couple of such “stars” with simpler cheeses, you literally elevate your cheese plate from the level of “homemade snack”; to the level of “gourmet”. So, let’s list them:
1. Blue cheeses or cheeses with blue mold
Roquefort, gorgonzola, dor-blue and others. These cheeses have a pronounced spicy penicillin aftertaste and a pronounced aroma (by the way, they are also good for digestion!). These are gourmet cheeses. Not everyone is able to appreciate their “vigorous” taste. But those who appreciated him are crazy about him!
Blue cheeses go well with sweets: figs, honey and jams. Example: Paladin Blue cheese (Holland) for 7.90 sh/100 g.
2. Soft cheeses with white mold
The most famous of them are Brie and Cammembert. They are famous for their impossibly delicate creaminess and soft, enveloping, as if melted consistency. These cheeses are usually served with berries – blueberries, currants, cranberries, cloudberries or with moderately sweet jam from these berries. Soft cheeses with white mold can be safely called dessert.
For your cheese platter, we recommend you choose Brie (France) for 8.90 NIS/100g at Maadaney Mania. This is a classic French brie – exactly as it should be.
3. Mozzarella balls
A rather simple and inexpensive sort of cheese, which you can buy from us at a discount for 29.90 sh/2 packs of 250 g, is interesting for its texture. Wet snow-white balls can be sprinkled with bright spices, dried paprika or dried basil, or you can simply put in the center of the composition – they look very cute! And if you add sun-dried tomatoes – just a song! Folk, Italian.
4. Aged hard cheeses
For example, our Manchego cheese, sold for 8.90 sh/100 g. This is a Spanish cheese with a bright, aged flavor that pairs flawlessly with dry red wine and provides an interesting flavor and texture contrast to soft creamy cheeses.
Cheese plate – the perfect accompaniment to a good wine.
In our stores for the holiday you will find European, Israeli, South African and Latin American wines for every taste and budget. Famous French wine J.P. Chenet for the holiday will be available from us at an attractive price of 32.90 sh for 750 ml. Spanish wine Muelle for 24.90 SH/750 ml. And the wine of the respectable Israeli brand Recanati for 49.90/750 ml. From April 5 to April 9, our stores will have a discount on French cognac Croizet V.S. – 99.90 sh for 700 ml*.
We hope that we were able to inspire you to create a truly elegant and stylish holiday table. After all, using our advice, you can easily create delightful dishes.
We congratulate you on the upcoming holidays and wish you all the best.
