Italian coffee equipment brand Sanremo Coffee Machines has introduced its first professional dual-boiler, single-group espresso machine, the You (styled by the company as YOU). The Sanremo You is currently making its public debut at the HostMilano trade show in Milan, Italy. Pricing information has not yet been disclosed. The compact and modern-looking You features an optional horizontal paddle on the front of the group to modulate water pressure in real time. Cometeer focuses on the manufacture, sale and cold-shipment of single-serve frozen specialty coffee capsules designed to match peak quality with user convenience.     Veterans coffee group to meet in downtown Hickory | Local News

    HICKORY — Veterans Coffee Connection, a coffee group for veterans of all ages and branches of military service, will meet Thursday, Oct. 14, at 8:30 a.m. under the Sails on Union Square in downtown Hickory. Veterans Coffee Connection, an informal coffee group sponsored by Carolina Caring, welcomes veterans from all branches of military service. Liechtenstein-based Etzinger, maker of the electric EtzMAX series of customizable grinders, has introduced two new hand-powered coffee grinders: the handheld Etz-I and the larger, tabletop-oriented EtzMAN. The company is currently accepting pre-orders for the new models, which like its predecessor is centered around a RRB (Rotating Ring Burr) grinding mechanism, in which the outer ring burr of the conical burr set rotates around a stationary inner cone burr.     Six or More Cups of Coffee Per Day Increases Dementia Risk, Research FindsDaily Coffee News by Roast Magazine

    New research has found that people who drank more than six cups of coffee per day were more than twice as likely to develop dementia than people who drank coffee in moderation. The results gathered data from 17,702 participants in the UK Biobank between the ages of 37 and 73 who had available MRI information. It found a non-linear association between coffee consumption by volume and the risk of developing dementia or stroke. While non-coffee drinkers or decaffeinated coffee drinkers were found to have a slightly higher risk of developing lower brain volumes, dementia or stroke than moderate coffee drinkers,

    GROW San Mateo and Samaritan House Food Pharmacy provide healthy food | Local News

    GROW San Mateo formed as a collective project to provide free healthy food to promote a healthier lifestyle and educate people on the importance of fresh produce. Bill Schildknecht started the GROW San Mateo project in March of 2019 for a collection of local gardeners grow and donate fresh produce. He learned about the Samaritan House Food Pharmacy that summer, which is a part of the organization’s free medical clinic, and began a partnership.
